Class Levels

Do not  rush to move between Pilates levels! Stay at the right one that is best you.

Level 1, BEGINNER /ESSENTIAL CLASSES

55 min Beginner/essential Pilates class is not only for the beginner but also for anyone who wants to get back to basics. Workout utilizes the five basic Pilates principles and build a foundation of exercises required to move on to the next level. It is a total body workout and a unique opportunity to experience the sophisticated reformer in a small group setting, this class is limited to six participants. It is designed to improve strength, coordination, flexibility, balance, and stabilization with an unlimited opportunity for advancement. You will improve your core strength and body awareness.

 

Level 1-2, BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE CLASSES

55 min Beginner to intermediate Pilates class. Learn the Principles of Pilates, the safety features on the specialized Pilates equipment. Learn classical and contemporary exercises. Improver classes are for those who have grasped good basic technique and want to be challenged with tougher exercises. At this point, the focus is on increasing core strength, stamina and, at the same time, much more complex patterns of movement.  These classes will help you relieve stress and leave you feeling energized.

Beginners can join this class so you will learn and reinforce the basic principles and work on correct muscle patterning, increasing core strength and correct breathing but gradually introducing some more challenging progressions for those who need to move on.

This level should not be rushed! Stay at this level if it is best for you. Be prepared to leave your ego at the door.

 

Level 2, INTERMEDIATE CLASSES

55 min Pilates class Intermediate Pilates workout. Learn how to perfect your alignment, along with more challenging exercises. For those who have a very good grasp of the basics (so not for beginners) and want to be challenged with tougher exercises. Clients must have been attending classes regularly for at least 6 months.  At this point, the focus is on increasing core strength, stamina and more complex patterns of movement for those who are ready and able.

Many clients will remain at this level and feel huge benefits from regular classes.

 

Level 2-3, INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED CLASSES

55 min Pilates class Intermediate to Advanced Pilates workout. For those clients who have been attending regularly for a minimum of 1 year and are ready for even more challenging exercises for the core and co-ordination. A faster pace with more classical exercises working towards increasing stamina as well as flexibility and strength. The aim is for movement to become more flowing and dynamic so the body becomes evenly strengthened and toned.

Teacher approval is required in order to register.

 

Level 3, ADVANCED CLASSES

55 min for the advanced student, the ultimate Pilates Equipment workout. With a fast tempo and flowing transitions, advanced level exercises require a full understanding and awareness of the mind-body connection, as well as an unparalleled strength and coordination foundation established when you move through our Get Started…essential.. Intermediate progression. Explores the full repertoire of the Pilates method.
